Ash began training in Taekwondo at age 12 in Spain, where she first competed in local events. After moving to the UK, she overcame significant personal and physical challenges to continue training and earn her black belt, going on to win national and international titles in both sparring and poomsae. Selected to join the UK Taekwondo Development Council’s team before the pandemic, Ash later shifted focus to coaching and building her own club, Taekwondo X. Since founding the club in 2020, she has developed a successful competitive team, producing multiple champions and coaching athletes who now represent Great Britain at international events. Ash is also part of the GB Martial Arts coaching staff and will lead her athletes at the World Martial Arts Games in Norway this November. In addition to coaching, she teaches in schools, leads inclusive community programs, and is organising the upcoming international training camp with Olympians Bianca and Aaron Cook. The event, supported by the Martial Arts Sports Symposium UK team, brings together elite sport and health education, a collaboration she’s proud to be part of.
